Dear Friends:
Am I the only person that does not think Anderson Cooper is cute? To me he looks rather…well…Avian (bird like). I mean he’s not UGLY, but he’s not the da gaga either.
So, is everyone else correct or am I nuts?
Sincerely…
Toddy English.

Dear Friends:
I love this song (and Fantasia). It’s called “I’m Here.” I swear to god I have to hold my thigh muscles together to keep from crying. The message of the song accompanied by the passion and conviction in her voice just does me in chile! I love how defiant the song is. It is relateable to me. Whenever I am feeling down I listen to this.
With love,

Dear Friends:
Me and my best friend saw “This Is It” yesterday afternoon. I’m a big Michael Jackson fan so I had to see this. Anyway, the movie was everything I had hoped for and more.
Chile, Mike was performing at a level on caliber with his 80′s hay day. Had he lived “This Is It” was going to be a show to end all shows. Michael Jackson changed entertainment in the 80′s. He was going to TRANSCEND it with this series of shows. He was in fine form. And that voice sounded FANTASTIC. I had to keep reminding myself that this was a dress rehearsal and not an actual concert (lol).
It was really fascinating to see his creative process. While Michael was a perfectionist he was not a brutal task master. He demanded with love and compassion. Moreover, he brought out the best in the people around him.
It literally felt like a rock concert in the theatre.
Michael seemed to be in a very good place whilst preparing for the shows.
He went out like he came in…In a blaze of glory.
This is a must see.
A+
P.S.
Honey, don’t get me started on how FINE the male dancers were! Oh my goodness! I nearly fainted when they were grabbing their crotches. Thank you Michael! haha.
With love…
Sincerely,

Y’know, I think “No Homo” is even dumber than “That’s sooooo Gay!”

Dear Friends:
It was suggested to me (by a friend and fellow blogger) that I should do my own youtube series (VLOGS). At first I recoiled at the idea! The ultimate reason being is I hate the sound of my recorded voice (lol). Yet, as I pontificate upon the prospect, it seemed like something that might be fun. Plus, it could reel in an even larger audience for my written blog.
On the one hand I don’t want to be a celebrity, but on the other it could be really neat getting into the whole youtube phenomenon. For the record there would be NO: dancing (why do all gay youtubers think they are dancers?), singing (are you kidding? I just told you I hate the sound of my recorded speaking voice), or trying to get all my friends up in the video. It would just be me speaking about things that I talk about here (e.g. movies, entertainment, relationships, gay issues, self help, and just stuff of that sort).
I’ll decide on it after graduation. If it’s a yes I’m just going to ante up and by a camcorder (I have a digi cam, but that’s too small). Then I have to pick a spot in the house with great lighting. Should I wear make up if I do the videos? (lol) Yeah, the vids would only be occasional (lol). So, would you tune in?

Would a Rose by any other name smell as sweet? (The whole Gay Marriage Debate)
Dear Friends:
I don’t like the word “marriage” for gays. Moreover, I don’t care what it is refered to as just so long as there is complete equality for gay couples.
Let me explain…
The reason why I don’t support “Marriage” is because of the religious implications. I am not a religious person. Furthermore, I don’t support the homophobia that is espoused by the holy bible (true there was marriage prior to holy scripture but that’s a whole other discussion) which supports marital bliss. Therefore, the word has no meaning to me. My feelings towards gay “Marriage” are akin to those of Native Americans on Thanksgiving.
Aren’t there other adjectives that can be used–for gay unions–other than marriage? I think we should be honest with ourselves. We are different from straight people. That is not a bad thing. That is not a good thing. We are just different. So, why are we striving so hard to be exactly like them in so many instances?
Yes, I do want the right to legally unite with a partner but that’s it. It isn’t important for me to have it defined in the same manner that a heterosexual does. There is this whole movement that says, “Anything less than marriage is second class citizenship.” I think it’s only second class if we allow it to be.
In my opinion I don’t care what it is called. Just as long as I have full benefits.
Sincerely,
Toddy English.
